June 2011A new page on textiles from Borneo (pua kumbu from the Iban group) has just been added. Several rare and lovely Hainan Li minority tubeskirts have been added to the Li pages. |
March 2011A group of three very attractive Miao Nuo play masks added to the masks page, a good Bouyi silk supplementary weft textile with the water well design, plus a copy of the English edition of "Clothing and Ornaments of China's Miao People" to the books page: a now out of print and hard to find book that is an essential reference for collectors of Miao textiles. |
January 2011An embroidered scarf and jacket theme this month. New items added include two good and old Yao wedding headscarves from Guangxi province, two 19th century Meifu Li wedding headscarves from Hainan Island, a very unusual Yi jacket and a nicely styled Miao jacket. |
October 2010Several Li minority items sold, a lovely (and rare) new Meifu Li ikat sarong added. |

Update July 2010See my ad in Hali magazine this month. I now have a good number of excellent Meifu Li ikat skirts, there is one example on the first Li textiles page, other pieces available on request. |
